JAIL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office is committed to offering a diverse array of programming opportunities for individuals incarcerated at the Sonoma County Detention Facilities. Our programs are grounded in evidence-based interventions and are designed with a trauma-informed approach. This perspective, supported by research, not only addresses the complexities of individual experiences but also contributes to reducing recidivism.
Every effort will be made to encourage participation, as program participation is voluntary. All incarcerated persons will be afforded equal opportunity to participate in programs regardless of their race, national origin, color, creed, sex, economic status, political beliefs, religion and/or disability, subject only to the limitations necessary to maintain the safety and security of the facilities, the safety of Incarcerated Persons, staff and/or volunteers.
We encourage all participants to take full advantage of these opportunities, as they are a critical component of the journey towards a better future. By investing in the personal development of those in our care, we hope to support successful reintegration into society and reduce the cycle of incarceration.
