Bike Safety Rodeos
Sonoma County is considered one of the best places in the world for cycling. It has become a popular sport and way of travel. Bicycle injuries and deaths affect children and young people more often than any other age group. Young cyclists are more likely than adult cyclists to die of head injuries, most of which are caused by motor vehicle collisions.
Bike Rodeos are a great way to teach kids basic bike safety rules and laws of the road. We also stress the importance of riding defensively and wearing a helmet. A Bike Rodeo typically consists of bike inspections, bike registration, safety talk, helmet fitting and riding a safety course. The Sheriff's Office will help you organize and conduct this fun event.
