Hall of Justice and Main Adult Detention Facility School Tours (For school teachers and administrators)
Here at the Sheriff’s Office we have a unique learning opportunity for students. The Hall of Justice/Jail Tour Program provides students with a first-hand view of the criminal justice system in action. Included in the tour is a short introduction to the Hall of Justice, a visit to a courtroom in session, and a tour of the Main Adult Detention Facility. The program is offered to all students 12 years of age or older in Sonoma County.

Tour dates begin in September and are scheduled every Wednesday throughout the school year, excluding holidays and school breaks. These tours are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Two adults from your school, one of which must be a teacher/administrator, needs accompany the tour. Attendance is limited to a maximum of (20) twenty students. If this limit is exceeded the tour will be cancelled. If your class consists of more than 20 students we will be happy to schedule different tours for you on separate days.

For tours of the Main Adult Detention Facility you must contact the Contact Visiting Officer at the  MADF by calling 565-1400

If you have any questions or are interested in scheduling a tour, please contact CSO Abrao in the Crime Prevention Unit at 707-565-7398 or email CSO Jennifer Abrao at jennifer.abrao@sonoma-county.org
